Soup is a dish that stands alone for me. People always have their own story to tell about soup; whether it be their favourite ingredients, a masterful pot they once concocted from an old recipe or the feeling it gives them when consumed. I don’t think it gets categorised like other foods do. Most times it is brought up in relation to a good feeling or an experience. I know that’s how it is for me. And there is an air of excitement wandering a small, local fruit and vegetable store picking out the supplies for an upcoming pot.
Or am I getting old…?
